I served as the co-chair for Nature Forward's 2025 Taking Nature Black Conference. I designed and executed a strategic plan for a successful conference, including budgeting, scheduling, and venue selection. Leading cross-functional teams of marketing, logistics, and program development, fostering collaboration to ensure seamless event execution, we established relationships with key vendors and industry experts, negotiating contracts and securing high-profile speakers and panel facilitators, enhancing the conference's reputation and value.

Successfully secured sponsorships from 46 local organizations, government agencies, and corporate entities, increasing funding and enhancing the overall conference experience. Exceeded sponsorship goals, securing more than $75,000 in total sponsorships including 6 in-kind sponsors and 3 media sponsors from local radio, newspaper and podcast.

Supported marketing through radio and newspaper interview appearances which resulted in immediate spike in ticket sales. Supported and developed personalized marketing materials and social media toolkit for the planning committee, staff members and supporters.

Implemented event management software and virtual engagement tools to enhance attendee experience, streamline processes, and facilitate remote participation using virtual platform, Whova. Resulted in more than 1000 community board messages, 927 one-on-one attendee interactions, and 33 job postings.

Spearheaded a Nationwide Student Climate Competition to highlight youth perspectives on the climate crisis and experiences in the Black community.
Co-facilitated a national conference reaching attendees across 30 states and Uganda to highlight the role of Black people in climate and environmental justice. Empowered and fostered a sense of belonging for 579 total attendees virtually and in-person.
